Internship Reflection

IEL is very welcoming and supporting environment that provided me the opportunity to learn about different sectors and trends in education policy alongside experts in the field. It also introduced me to workplace dynamics. I enjoyed attending meetings, workshops, and events; especially the AERA and EPFP luncheons and workshops. My creative, professional, and logistical skills have grown through the work I did on social media campaigns, event assistance, and writing for the website. Interning here really helped me value the office community. You need to lean on your teammates in a non-profit environment, building on your strengths and having people who will support you in your weaker areas.
